Thinking Beyond the Detox – What Are Your Goals?
Lesson 3
This detox and cleanse is only one month long, and I bet you have some goals in mind?
Before you start your month of detoxing, I want you to write down 3 goals you have for your first month during the detox, 3 goals you want to achieve within the next three months and another 3 goals you want for the next 6 months.
Looking down the road and giving yourself a perspective on what you want to see in the long term will help you achieve the goals you want to have right now.
At the end of month one on this detox, look back at what you wrote down and see if you're still on the right track.
If you're not, please do not change your goals! Simply reassess what path you're on at the moment and see how you can re-align with what you really want.
During our 45-minute phone or video call at the end of this detox, we will go over those goals together and I can help you be sure you're sticking to your goals.
I also want you look into your own life as you begin this detox, to see what else might be "toxic" to you right now.
During my time at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, we discussed the Circle of Life activity, where you can visually map out how in line you are with yourself. We call these our primary foods with real food being secondary. The meaning behind this is that "You can eat all the kale in the world, but without inner peace, happiness and alignment, you'll never reach peak health".
Take a moment to print out the circle of life form, shown below, and follow the directions on the sheet. Keep it with your goals sheet, and make note of what areas of your life you want to focus on.
